Summary:

Coadministration has not been studied but based on metabolism and clearance a clinically significant interaction is unlikely. Apixaban is metabolized by CYP3A4 and to a lesser extent CYP1A2, CYP2C8, CYP2C9 and CYP2C19. Molnupiravir does not inhibit or induce CYPs and is unlikely to have significant drug-drug interactions with other therapies. Molnupiravir is rapidly metabolized by esterases to a nucleoside metabolite which is phosphorylated to an active triphosphate.
